The Red House has been refurbished with sympathy towards the character, but the bedrooms contain most of the modern worlds conveniences, all are either secondary or double glazed. Some of the bedrooms are on the ground floor providing easy access to the breakfast room and lounge.

Ideally positioned to capture the beauty of Falmouth and all it has to offer, the Red House is situated about 150 metres from the seafront (Gyllyngvase and Castle Beaches) and about a 5 - 7 minute walk into the town and harbour. No need to use the car just leave it in our large private car park and explore Falmouth with all its alley ways or enjoy a trip to St Mawes or Truro and other destinations by one of the numerous ferries. We are just 150 metres from the Princess Pavilion where you will find free entertainment every evening during the summer months.

Enjoy a traditionally cooked Full English breakfast in our airy breakfast room. Most of the produce used is organic and grown locally where possible.

Poole Quay is just a 10 minutes walk away and there are golf courses and coastal walks within a convenient distance. There are also a number of local walks and there is a jogging circuit for those more energetic souls.

Rutland Lodge is a classic Grade II listed Victorian villa located in the Wellswood Conservation area in the hills above Torquay. With off road parking, the Rutland Lodge is ten minutes walk from the Marina.

The rooms are luxuriously furnished with Rest-Assured pocket/memory foam mattresses and 37” plasma tvs with cd/dvd players and surround sound. Bathrooms are clad in marble with either roll-top baths or walk-in showers. A pressurized water system provides plenty of hot water. The showers are seriously good.

Here’s where we’re different! I'm trying to provide more freedom for guests than the normal b&b so I live next door. Rutland is just for guests. You are most welcome to stay in the conservatory and adjacent sitting room. A continental breakfast is served in the conservatory from 8am to 10am. A fully equipped kitchen is available to guests with a new Jura ‘bean-to-cup’ coffee machine. Seeing as eating out is getting expensive and Tesco Finest is really quite good why not pop dinner into the oven or microwave, open a much better bottle of wine, then sit in the conservatory to have dinner. Clearing up happens magically (me!).
