Rutland Lodge Rutland Lodge

Rutland Lodge is a classic Grade II listed Victorian villa located in the Wellswood Conservation area in the hills above Torquay. With off road parking, the Rutland Lodge is ten minutes walk from the Marina.

The rooms are luxuriously furnished with Rest-Assured pocket/memory foam mattresses and 37” plasma tvs with cd/dvd players and surround sound. Bathrooms are clad in marble with either roll-top baths or walk-in showers. A pressurized water system provides plenty of hot water. The showers are seriously good.

Here’s where we’re different! I'm trying to provide more freedom for guests than the normal b&b so I live next door. Rutland is just for guests. You are most welcome to stay in the conservatory and adjacent sitting room. A continental breakfast is served in the conservatory from 8am to 10am. A fully equipped kitchen is available to guests with a new Jura ‘bean-to-cup’ coffee machine. Seeing as eating out is getting expensive and Tesco Finest is really quite good why not pop dinner into the oven or microwave, open a much better bottle of wine, then sit in the conservatory to have dinner. Clearing up happens magically (me!).
