A Maldives spa and pamper break facility is gaining plenty of attention as it is the first of its kind to be underwater.
DNA India reported that the Huvanfen Fushi resort, in the North Male Atoll complex, is situated in its own lagoon and has attracted global celebrities such as George Clooney, Kate Moss, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes recently.
However it is being talked about more for it becoming the world's first underwater spa, situated in the middle of the coral-reefed Indian Ocean.
Rubina Khan, writing for the source, said that she made her way down the wooden stairwell to be greeted by sealife which was parading around outside the spa's thick glass walls.
"Crystal therapy is the signature treatment that uses hand-pressed coconut oil, lime mineral poultice and island wood. The therapist laughed discreetly when I mentioned that I might have inadvertently flashed the fishes and assorted ocean inhabitants during my session of pure bliss and calm," she added.
Visitors to the spa and pamper break complex can also indulge themselves on a stretch of private beach, perfect for relaxing on after a massage.
