Taking a luxurious and relaxing visit to a spa and pamper break facility is no longer the preserve of women, according to an expert.
Marianne Nielsen, manager of the newly-launched Mamounia spa in Morocco, told RelaxNews that a second generation of pamper break goers are now emerging, with children starting to attend with their parents.
This view is shared by Tracy Lords, director of the MiraSpa in Hong Kong, who told the source that "there has been a surge in guests choosing spas for girlie parties such as bridal or baby showers or hen weekends and birthdays".
Experts are also seeing growing trends for spa and pamper break treatments such as yoga or meditation, while other therapies which are more authentic and linked to a region and a culture are also proving popular.
Recently, the International Spa Association said that improved customer service will be another trend which is going to be seen more in 2010.
