A Dubai-based spa and pamper break complex has received a glowing review from a wellbeing expert.

The Daily Telegraph's spa spy visited Le Royal Meridien in a bid to improve her complexion, which she said felt faded and fatigued, while her skin had become dry and knots in her back had formed.

Overlooking a luxurious white sand beach, the spa expert took the opportunity of having three days of pure relaxation, making use of the complex's hammam pools, followed at the end by a wellbeing massage and an exotic coconut rub and milk wrap.

The massage begins with a full body brush to remove dry skin and clear toxins, with aromatherapy oils and a deep-tissue massage following.

On return to the UK, the spa spy said that she feels positively radiant, with friends and family remarking upon her newly glowing appearance.

She notes that her skin is unquestionably smoother, with her muscles more supple.

"However, all attempts at detoxification are foiled by butlers bringing free champagne and cakes or chocolates to her room," she added.

Visitors to the complex can also indulge themselves in the fitness centre and treat themselves to head, shoulder and foot massages.
