Taking a spa and pamper break will not change lives within three days, however, they can help a person press the reset button, according to an expert.
Maria Rodale, writing for the Huffington Post, said that spas are full of people of all types and sizes looking for different things from their visit.
Some are there for dieting advice, some for exercise and some for stress relief, however, when they get back to the real world it is up to them to make things happen, according to Ms Rodale.
"I have found that for intense reconnecting with myself and my purpose, there is no better place than a spa. In the quiet, peaceful, stress-free spa world, I can focus on the little voice inside of me," she added.
Dr Maoshing Ni, also writing for the Post, said that spa and pamper breaks are great for activating circulation, with the benefits being pain relief and immunity boosting.
