People should spend as little as one hour each month in a spa and pamper complex to help them unwind and relax.
Award-winning therapist Christine Charters-Young told the Saffron Walden Reporter that the modern day hectic lifestyles of many people can leave them feeling stressed and run down.
Ms Charters-Young has recently opened a holistic healing centre at the Saffron Walden Osteopathic Clinic, and said that she specialises in treating people who have very stressful jobs using reflexology and acupuncture massage.
"The treatments I am offering in Saffron Walden can help people to maintain their general well-being so they stay healthier for longer and often recover more quickly when they feel ill," she added.
She recommended that people try acupressure treatments, which release muscle tension through slow sweeping movements to the face, scalp, neck and shoulders.
Visitors to the osteopath clinic can also receive treatment for sporting injuries, back pain, joint aches and tendonitis.
