Fans of the best in theatre breaks have the opportunity to watch one of the West End's most famous shows after its booking period was extended by four months.

Disney's The Lion King will now run at the Lyceum Theatre until January 30th 2011, giving people plenty of time to watch this multi-award winning musical.

It has been in the West End since September 1999 and was such a hit in 2009 that it grossed over £32 million, the highest of its ten-year run, despite no increase in ticket prices on previous years.

The production also welcomed its eight millionth guest in October 2009, while it became the ninth longest-running musical in West End history in December last year.

Directed by Julie Taymor, the show features songs such as Can You Feel the Love Tonight by Sir Elton John and Sir Time Rice.

The production has gained many positive reviews, with the Evening Standard describing it as an "astonishing triumph of theatrical imagination".
